As part of the Future Internet Conference week in Ghent, this year’s iMinds will once again bring together the brightest minds from the Academic, Corporate and Start-up worlds of Belgium and its surroundings.
With talks from people such as Peter Hirshberg, Ben Verwaayen, Neelie Kroes, the event promises to be as interesting as ever.
This year, iMinds is embedded within Future Internet Conference week, a full week of back-to-back conferences on topics such as IPv6, Living Labs etc …
iMinds is hosted by the IBBT, the Interdisciplinary Institute for Broadband Technology, which is an independent research institute founded by the Flemish government to stimulate ICT innovation. The IBBT focuses strongly on the link between ICT technology and its application domains, recognizing that software, communication technologies & networking, service platforms, etc. serve as crucial infrastructure for a number of industries such as health-care, mobility and media. This year, iMinds is co-hosted by Bell Labs, and is intent on exploring the current and future state of the internet now it has become one of the most critical utilities of the 21st century.
iMinds is open to anyone with an interest in the subject of ICT innovation and focuses on researchers, entrepreneurs from large and small companies, venture capitalists, civil servants, politicians and creative individuals with different disciplinary backgrounds.
