Minibar IC tomorrow App Building Contest

Christian Ahlert of Minibar and Open Business has been in touch about the Minibar IC tomorrow App Building Contest. He’s asked me to be a judge – I’m very flattered:

Do you think you can produce the next revolutionary music or video app? Join our contest and get involved with the future of app production.

This is an amazing opportunity for entrants to work within the newly launched IC tomorrow platform, a unique testing ground that connects app providers to major content owners and consumers, enabling the development of innovative business models and the creative exploration of content.

In joining the contest you have the chance to showcase your inventiveness and enjoy free access to premium quality content such as songs, films and television programmes as well as archival material that is otherwise locked away and left dormant.

You can use the platform to create either End User or Metadata Enrichment apps for submission. The challenge will be to find the best way to package

content into apps that display a range of attractive activities for users that will eventually culminate in the monetary gain.

Our esteemed panel of judges (including Craig Smith of O’Reilly and Chris Jackson of Metabroadcast) will decide the winners at a show&tell event on 25th November where the overall winner will be awarded £5,000 and the runner-up £2,000.

Cash prizes aside, in taking part every participant will have the chance to attract the attention of the major content owners supporting the event with their work. Don’t pass up this opportunity to get your talent recognised and make it big!
